My family and I walked around the store, just browsing, before I approached the 3 ladies “working” there. The entire time we’d been in the store they had not moved. As I walked up, they were sharing jokes and laughing. One greeted me with a smile and asked what she could help me find. As soon as I said I was looking for a bed for my daughter her smile disappeared and she said, “Sorry, I’m with another customer right now.” She shot one of the other ladies an irritated look and that salesperson told me to follow her. She brought me to the one bed they had and said, “The rest are in the catalog,” and she walked away. We walked out the door.
Went in to the store with my fiancé to look at sectionals to furnish our new living room, we walked around the store twice none of the employees even lifted there heads to greet us or ask if there was anything they could help us out with. When we walked past one of the employees at a desk we purposely where talking loud about wishing we could get someone to help us out but she was too busy with her Facebook account on the company computer. Needless to say Yonkers you will never get a dime from our family again.
I don't even want to give you 1 star. We purchased a queen Simmons high end mattress and box spring with a 15 year warranty 1/2 years ago. I noticed at about a year on my husbands side there was an impression starting in the middle? The dip was getting deeper and deeper so I called to have it checked for the warranty. After having someone from Younkers come out and my husband having to tear the bed apart to the frame we were told we had to have 5 slates supporting the mattress and not the 2 with a 6 leg support frame. THEY WOULDN'T COVER THE WARRANTY!!! Hmmm ... 2 things here. 1.) Our last mattress lasted 15 years when we purchased the bedroom set and 2.) I find Younkers negligent it not explaining the conditions for their warranty. I'll never buy from you again!!!
My boyfriend and I stopped in to look for a matress and also were looking at furniture. We were told we couldnt touch things because "we were teenagers just fooling around," and we were basically kicked out, mind you we are both adults. I will not be coming back here to buy furniture. It was direspectful and discriminating.
My mom sent my friend and me into the store to wait for her while she went to the bathroom and the staff kicked us out because we didn't look dressed fancy enough to buy anything. We weren't even in there for a minute before this all happened. Discrimination at its finest
