Very nice store. If you're looking for something simple and a good value, this is perfect.
We've been shopping here 9 years for the little things. We do our major grocery run elsewhere with greater selection, but Save-A-Lot is great when I'm spontaneously making something and run out of ingredients or don't want to travel farther to get a handful of items.
This place is usually a mess, and the staff isn't the friendliest. It's hard to find a clerk to help if you are trying to find something. I don't think it's even that price competitive. Also usually there are very pushy people trying to sell their food stamps, which is very unpleasant.
The biggest complaint I have is ease of navigating in/out of the parking lot. I don't know how they could improve this in their location, but I know 35 years ago our trips to the Exclusive Company didn't seem to include long waits to get out of the lot. Maybe traffic patterns have changed.
Prices are cheap but the store itself is not that great. Doesn't offer very appealing options to differrnt items. I dtop for basic things as needed but not my first choice for grocery shopping.
Prices aren't rock bottom but aren't breaking the bank. We don't buy a lot of produce here, but when I do it's usually fresh enough not to kill us. The staff is friendly enough to get me in and out.
Quick in and out, just have to really look over your purchases for quality, especially produce. Works in a pinch.
