Always a great place to walk and always a nice mixture of birds to see!
Can't expect or complain too much when it's free. The place needs some repairs and upkeep. The exhibits are informative, and most animals were available.
We love to feed the geese and deer and visit on a regular basis. We buy a 50 lb bag of feed corn and keep a bucket in the car to make spontaneous visits when the weather is nice. Just prior to dusk is great on a weekday when the animals are hungry and haven't been fed by the masses since the busy weekend. There is a lot to learn even if you go on a regular basis.
My family has spent countless hours at the Wildlife Sanctuary, watching the animals, feeding the ducks/geese, picnic lunches, fishing, kids using the slide. We also attend their annual event Walk For Wildlife. This place is such a great asset to our community!
i was there recently with my daughter and 4 mo old grandson. thought it was nice. however i could not understand why a family friendly facility did not have any changing stations in the restrooms. HUGE drawback that will make us think twice about returning.
