Way overpriced. Very static feel to it. Neat to walk through some old trains, but there is very little explanation as to what you are viewing. No music or train sounds. I really don't know what else to say, but it was pretty stale.
Went for the Polar Express train ride. Well put together. Nice museum. Good for kids.
Great place to see many cars and engines of days gone by. Much history preserved including Gen. Eisenhower's WWII train and a UP Big Boy. Well worth the visit.
This place was awesome! I am not a train guy, but my 22 month old son loves Thomas and Friends, so I thought he would enjoy seeing real trains up close. There is an indoor play area for kids with toy trains and exhibits. We took the train ride around the grounds and the conductor explained all the historical significance of the train engines and cars we passed by. There are some trains indoors which have been restored. You can walk around in them. I was impressed by the "Big Boy" steam engine. It is a great time for all ages.
Want to stand where Dwight D. Eisenhower stood? I knew it would be interesting. I had no idea it would be breathtaking. I literally gasped audibly when I walked in... and I'm not even into trains.
