Owner Sandee Sims, along with her fellow stylists and wonderful clients are truly inspirational people. Along with the fabulous work Sandee does in her chosen craft of making people beautiful (she did my hair for years including the year I carried the title of Miss Green Bay and for the most important day of my life, my wedding!), she is consistently giving back to community and beyond--making the lives of people more beautiful in any way she can. I currently teach at an inner-city school in Chicago, Illinois. This year Sandee and her team (along with her beloved clients, as aforementioned) chose to collect winter gear for the students of my school. They collected nearly 250 items, all of which will be cherished beyond words by these children who come to school with nothing but a couple of sweatshirts doubled-up for warmth. Sandee chooses a different "charity" each year and I am so thankful she extended her love to our school. Her amazing compassion continues to inspire me and now will inspire an additional couple hundred children this cold, windy winter in Chicago. If you are looking to be touched by beauty beyond outward appearance, this should be your salon.
My stylist (Sara) moved to this salon so I went there for the first time yesterday. I loved it there! The ladies working there are all experienced and have a lot of fun! My stylist's old salon was fine, except the other people there seemed snobby and the building was, well, very boring. Inspirations salon is covered with great decorations (kind of an African theme) and it made it so much more relaxing. All the stylists, not just my own, were giving advice and chatting with me and they seem to geniunely enjoy what they do!
