I’m very very disappointed with the service from 1951. I called and made reservations for my group of 10 people many days in advance. We got there and they were 14 minutes past our reservation and then told us they couldn’t push two tables together for our group! They offered to sit us in the same section but not together. We even arrived 10 minutes early and they told us they were clearing our table. When we make reservations, you need to be prepared for OUR RESERVATION. I will never be eating there again.
Have really only been here for the sunday brunch buffet and a few holiday buffets like easter and mothers day, food is decent but kinda pricey, considering the majority of the breakfast food is all pre-cooked/pre-made and is just heated up.
Went to 1951 tonight at 7:00 only to find out they were out of BBQ Ribs, so moved to second choice the special Prime Rib which were out. The restaurant was less than half full. When questioning if the Salmon was farm raised the answer was yes then asked about the shrimp, same answer. Settled on Filet's and they were cooked to medium rare but were not overly warm and taste was average at best. The baby red potatoes were a bit over done. Overall very disappointed. Don't understand how you run out of the special by 7:00 pm when you are not packed. The waitress was very nice but that doesn't make up. I don't usually ever make a post but felt strongly that the meal was a big disappointment.
We come here once and month and the food is good. We like the ambiance and the staff is great.
Nice atmosphere, Brunch on Sunday $15.00. Usual buffet choices, but also some extra items. I have had better.
